This project impacted very deeply in me and the two co-creators of this piece.
We set out to explore how the severe obscurantism surrounding sexuality affected women growing up in Lima Peru by interviewing women of all ages and social-economical sectors.
Being such a divided and profoundly unequal country, we found a common ground for all of us in this subject regardless of age and socio-economical background.
This video is a teaser for the series of interviews carried out to more than 20 women in the capital city. It is meant to shine a light and explore how conservatism denying women of their sexuality causes an infinite amount of physical, psychological and spiritual harm to women.
Our premise: speak out, put it out there… This is the first step to a true empowerment.
